Her paternal grandfather was Edmund II Ironsides of England and her paternal grandmother is Ealdgyth of Northumbria; her maternal grandfather was Henry II of Germany. She had a brother and a sister, named Edgar (Eadgar) the Exile Atheling of and Christina. She died at the age of 48 on November 16th, 1093 in Edinburgh Castle, Scotland.
