Malcolm III Caennmor Dunkeld of was born about 1031 in Atholl, Perthshire, Scotland.  Malcolm III Caennmor Dunkeld of's father was Duncan I the Gracious MacCrinan of Scotland and his mother was Aelflaed (Sybil) of Northumbria.  His paternal grandparents were Crinan (Grimus) Mormaer the Thane of Atholl and Bethoc (Beatrix) of Scone; his maternal grandfather was Siward (Digera) Biornsson of Northumberland and his maternal grandmother is Aelflaed II of Bernicia Northumberland. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Donald III Bane of, Maelmuir of, Margaret of and Daughter of.  He died on November 13th, 1093 in Battle of Alnwick Castle in Northumberland, England.  He was buried in Escorial, Madrid, Spain or Dunfermline Abbey, Fife, Scotland.
