Henry the Young King of was born in Bermondsey Palace, Surrey, England.  Henry the Young King of's father was Henry II Curtmantle FitzEmpress of England and his mother was Eleanor of Aquitaine.  His paternal grandparents were Geoffrey V the Fair Plantagenet of Anjou and Matilda the Empress of England; his maternal grandparents were William X the Toulousan of Aquitaine and Eleanor Chatellerault de Rochefoucauld. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William of, Richard I Coeur de Lion of, Geoffrey II Plantagenet of, John I Plantagenet Lackland of, Matilda (Maud), Eleanor and Joan. He had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named Morgan of, William I, Geoffrey, Peter, Hugh of, Richard, Daughter, Matilda of, Marie Capet of and Alisa Capet of.  He died on June 11th, 1183 in Martel Castle, Turenne, France.  He was buried in 1183 in Rouen Cathedral, Rouen, France.1
