Berenguela Berengar of was born after 1112 in Barcelona, Aragon, Spain.  Berenguela Berengar of's father was Raymond IV Arnolda the Great Berengar and her mother was Dulce Aldonza Milhaud de Gievaudun.  Her paternal grandparents were Raymond III Towhead Berengar and Mathilda Guiscard de Hauteville de Apulien; her maternal grandfather is Gilbert de Milhaud and her maternal grandmother was Gerberga de Arles of Provence. She had a brother and a sister, named Raymond V le and Estephania.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had two half-sisters named Jimena and Maria.  She died in Palencia.
