Marguerite de Faucigny was born about 1180 in Geneva, Switzerland.  Marguerite de Faucigny's father was Guillaume I de Genevre and her mother was Beatrix de Faucigny.  Her paternal grandparents were Amadeo I de Genevre and Mathilde von Domene de Cuiseaux; her maternal grandparents are Aimon I de Faucigny and Clemencia de Berancon. She had three brothers named Aimon, Amadeus and Guillaume II.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died on April 8th, 1236 in Pierre-Chatel, Isere, France.


Marguerite de Faucigny's family with Thomas de Maurienne of Savoy

‌Marguerite de Faucigny and Thomas de Maurienne of were married in a religious ceremony in May 1195.  They had eight sons and three daughters, named Amadeus IV, Humbert, Thomas II de Maurienne of, Boniface, Wilhelm, Philip, Peter II, Aymon, Avita, Beatrice and Margaret.
