Edward II Caernarvon of was born on April 25th, 1284 in Caernarvon Castle, Caernarvonshire, Wales.  Edward II Caernarvon of's father was Edward I Longshanks Plantagenet of England and his mother was Eleanor of Castile & Leon.  His paternal grandparents were Henry III Plantagenet of England and Eleanor Berenger of Provence; his maternal grandparents were Ferdinand III the Saint of Castile & Leon and Johanna de Danmartin of Ponthieu. He had three brothers and eleven sisters, named John, Henry, Alfonso, Eleanor, Julian Katherine, Joan of Acre, Margaret, Berengaria, Elizabeth, Beatrice, Blanche, Mary, Alice and Isabella. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Thomas Plantagenet of, Edmund Plantagenet of, John and Eleanor.  He died at the age of 43 on September 21st, 1327 in Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire, England.  He was buried in 1327 in Gloucester Cathedral, England.
