Johanna de Danmartin of was born in 1216 in Dammartin, Seine-et-Marne,  France.  Johanna de Danmartin of's father was Simon de Danmartin and her mother was Marie (Jeanne) Talvas of Ponthieu.  Her paternal grandfather was Alberic II Aubrey de Danmartin and her paternal grandmother is Mathilda Clermont of Ponthieu; her maternal grandfather was William III Talvas of Ponthieu and her maternal grandmother is Adele (Alix) Capet of France. She had a brother named Philippe.  She was the older of the two children.  She died in Abbeville, France.
