There is no Bolton marriage of a William and Mary. There are other births at Westhoughton from 1785 to 1808 for Alice, Ann, Joseph, Hanry, Margaret and Moses.

No DNA matches.
MaryAnn is probably the daughter of William Mather and Mary, baptised at Bolton 10 April 1803, but there are no Bolton marriage of a William and Mary before 1803, so probably the family from Westhoughton.
In 1819, MaryAnn possibly had an Illegitimate daughter Ruth Mather (who married George Hulme in 1839).
1822-24, recorded as Marianne Rasthorn when Thomas and Mary baptised, and later Mary Ann. All the children's baptisms show their abode as Breightmet. In 1851, daughter Mary Ann Young recorded her birthplace as Breightmet Hill.
Mary Ann France was 48 in 1851, so born about 1803. She is probably the daughter of William and Mary Mather, baptised April 1803. There are no marriages for a William and Mary at Bolton, and her parents are not William Mather and Mary Petty from Billinge, near Wigan, married 31 Oct 1802 as they had a daughter Ann baptised there 12 Dec 1802. William Mather and Mary Rosthern seems much more likely, married at Warrington 22 Aug 1976. William and Mary Green from Westhoughton is another family. William and Mary Clegg married in 1797 is another possibility.
In 1821, Mary Ann Mather married James Rawsthorn at Deane St Mary.
1 June 1835, Mary Ann Rostron, widow, married Richard France, widower.
In 1841, Richard & Ann (both 40) were with Elizabeth (15), Sarah (13) and Ellen France (5), and Thomas (2), Mary Ann (15), William (13) and Ruth Rostron (7); also three France daughters, two from previous marriage and Ellen (5).
In 1869, (trial 5 July) Mary Ann Rawsthorn (must be another) was imprisoned for larceny.

Mariann and James were married in a religious ceremony on July 29th, 1821 at St. Mary (Deane) witnessed by Abraham Boardman & Edward Greenhalgh.3 They had three sons and three daughters, named Thomas, William, William, Mary, Mary and Ruth. There are no more children.
