Hannah was born in March 1842 in Little Bolton.¹

Hannah's father was Richard France and her mother was Mary (Mariann) Ann Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were William Mather and Mary Green. She had three brothers and a sister, named Richard, John, Samuel and Ellen.  She was the second youngest of the five children. She had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Thomas, William, William, Mary, Mary and Ruth.  She died at the age of 45 on February 1st, 1888 in New York (NY).²
