Joseph Mather

Joseph was born in 1795 in Westhoughton and his baptism took place on November 5th, 1795 at St. Bartholomew (Westhoughton).¹

Joseph's father was William Mather and his mother was Mary Green. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, John, Jeffery, Henry, Moses, Alice, Ann and Margaret.  He was the fourth youngest of the nine children.  He died at the age of 11 on April 8th, 1806 in Westhoughton.  He was buried on April 8th, 1806 at St. Bartholomew (Westhoughton).²
