Samuel Mather

Samuel was born in November 1781 in Little Hulton and his baptism took place on November 25th, 1781 at Peel Chapel.¹

Samuel's father was William Mather and his mother was Mary Green. He had five brothers and four sisters, named John, Jeffery, Joseph, Henry, Moses, Alice, Ann, Mariann and Margaret. He was the oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 31 in April 1813 in Worsley. He was buried on April 30th, 1813 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Eccles).²
