Ellin's father was Samuel Mather and her mother was Alice Owen. Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Mary Green. She had a brother and a sister, named William and NZ. She was the youngest of the three children. She had a half-sister named Alice.

  This Ellin is from Eccles, so may not be of the same family. However, her parents are Alice Mather and Samuel Mather, and there are no other siblings from Eccles, so there are no conflicting siblings. Also, "Ellin" does match her great grandparent Ellen Howarth. There is also an obvious gap in the birth records so another birth in 1813 fits perfectly with a birth every three years.
