Margaret Mather

Margaret was born in January 1804 in Westhoughton and her baptism took place on January 7th, 1804 at St. Bartholomew (Westhoughton).¹

Margaret's father was William Mather and her mother was Mary Green. She had six brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, John, Jeffery, Joseph, Henry, Moses, Alice, Ann and Mariann. She was the nineth oldest of the ten children.

- Like her siblings, Margaret probably was born and died in Westhaughton. However there is a mariage at Leigh to John Green which could be her if Margaret was born in Accrington.
