Happy, was a minor (about 20) when she married John Barrow, a Chemist, on 5th Sep 1842 at Ainsworth Christ Church, Bury (parish of Middleton). No other Mathers married here, although there are several BARROW marriages.
John Barrow died three years after the marriage in 1845.
By 1851, Happy had lost her first husband and was living with her daughter Maria and parents, Samuel and Alice. 1851 census has her as Married, not Widowed, but she probably was.
Happy's father Samuel died in 1854. It appears that Happy of Rose Hill,.was in attendance at her fathers death (but it looks like Harry Shuttleworth on the certificate).
By 1861 Happy's father Samuel has died. Happy has remarried Phineas Shuttleworth, and is now living at 167 Lever Street, Little Bolton, still with her daughter Maria and mother Alice Mather.

Happy and Phineas Shuttleworth and family in 1871 With them were Happy's Mother Alice Mather, and their son Samuel (aged 16) and grandson Jesse Colins (aged 6). Daughter Maria Collins had died and her husband William Collins gone!
She lived at 5 Nell Street for two years from before 1879 to after 1881.7

Marriage confirmed by 1861 census, where Marria Barrow is described as a stepdaughter. John was recorded on the FreeBMD index (vol 21, page 09), but Happy Mather is (Sep 1842, Vol 21, 109). A correction has been posted.
There is only one Maria Barrow birth registered 1842-1846 in Bolton (so Maria was recorded twice in 1861).

Happy and Phineas were a bit slow at baptisms. Samuel (brother) was 6 when he was baptised. Thomas never made it! There were no other sibling baptisms.
He died due to a childhood disease, Diarrhoea 4 days, at the age of 1 on August 11th, 1859 in Bolton.10
