Margaret was born about 1385 in Upholland, Lancashire. Margaret's father was Thomas de Holand II Earl of Kent and her mother was Alice FitzAlan of Arundel. Her paternal grandparents were Sir Thomas de Holand Earl of Kent and Joan the Fair Maid Plantagenet Cts of Kent; her maternal grandparents were Sir Richard Fitzalan II Earl of Arundel and Eleanor Plantagenet of Lancaster. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Edmund de Holand, Thomas de Holand III, John, Alianore, Joan, Bridget, Eleanor and Elizabeth. She died on December 30th, 1439 in St. Saviours Abbey, Bermondsey, London.-
