Margaret was born about 1385 in Upholland, Lancashire.  Margaret's father was Thomas de Holand II Earl of Kent and her mother was Alice FitzAlan of Arundel.  Her paternal grandparents were Sir Thomas de Holand Earl of Kent and Joan the Fair Maid Plantagenet Cts of Kent; her maternal grandparents were Sir Richard Fitzalan II Earl of Arundel and Eleanor Plantagenet of Lancaster. She had three brothers and five sisters, named Edmund de Holand, Thomas de Holand III, John, Alianore, Joan, Bridget, Eleanor and Elizabeth.  She died on December 30th, 1439 in St. Saviours Abbey, Bermondsey, London.


Margaret's first family with John de Beaufort Earl of Somerset

‌Margaret and John de Beaufort were married in a religious ceremony before September 28th, 1397 in Upholland, Lancashire.  They had four sons and two daughters, named Henry Beaufort, John Beaufort, Thomas Beaufort, Edmund Beaufort, Joan de Beaufort and Margaret.


Margaret's second family with Thomas Plantagenet of Duke of Clarence

‌Margaret and Thomas Plantagenet of were married in a religious ceremony in 1412.
