Philippe III the Bold le Hardi was born on May 1st, 1245 in Poissy, Yvelines, France.  Philippe III the Bold le Hardi's father was St. Louis IX Capet King of France and his mother was Marguerite Berenger de Provence.  His paternal grandparents were Louis VIII Capet the Lion King of France and Blanca de Castile; his maternal grandparents were Raimund VI Berenger Ct de Provence and Beatrice de Savoie. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Louis Capet, Jean Capet, Jean Tristan de, Peter Capet, Robert Capet de Clermont, Blanche Capet, Blanche Capet, Marguerite Capet, Agnes Capet and Isabella Capet.  He died at the age of 40 on October 5th, 1285 in Perpignan, Pyrenees-Orienta, France.
