Alice was born in 1352 in Arundel Castle, Sussex.  Alice's father was Sir Richard Fitzalan II Earl of Arundel and her mother was Eleanor Plantagenet of Lancaster.  Her paternal grandparents were Sir Edmund Fitzalan Earl of Arundel and Alice de Warenne; her maternal grandparents were Henry Plantagenet Earl of Lancaster and Maud de Chaworth. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Richard Fitzalan III, Sir John Fitzalan de Arundel, Thomas de Arundel, Joan, Eleanor and Elizabeth. She had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Sir Edmund de Arundel, Henry de Beaumont II, Mary (Isabel), Joan and Matilda (Maud).


Alice's family with Thomas de Holand II Earl of Kent

‌Alice and Thomas de Holand II were married in a religious ceremony on April 10th, 1364.  They had three sons and six daughters, named Edmund de Holand, Thomas de Holand III, John, Alianore, Joan, Margaret, Bridget, Eleanor and Elizabeth.
