Eleanor was born in 1222 in Aix-en-Provence, France.  Eleanor's father was Raimund VI Berenger Ct de Provence and her mother was Beatrice de Savoie.  Her paternal grandparents were Alphonso II "El Casto" Ct de Provence and Gersinde de Sabran Cts de Forcalquier; her maternal grandparents were Thomas de Maurienne Ct de Savoie and Marguerite de Faucigny de Genevre. She had three sisters named Marguerite, Sanchia Berenger and Beatrice Berenger.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 69 on June 24th, 1291 in Amesbury, Wiltshire, England.


Eleanor's family with Henry III Plantagenet King of England

‌Eleanor and Henry III Plantagenet were married in a religious ceremony in Canterbury Cathedral, Kent, England.  They had six sons and three daughters, named Edward I Longshanks, Richard, John, William, Henry, Edmund Crouchback, Margaret, Beatrice and Katherine.
