Clemence was born in 1105. Clemence's father was Count Godfrey I OF NAMUR & DAGSBURG and her mother was Ermensinde OF LUXEMBOURG. Her paternal grandparents were Count/ Albert III OF NAMUR and Ida OF SAXONY; her maternal grandparents were Count Konrad I OF LUXEMBOURG and Clemintina DE POITOU. She had a brother and two sisters, named Henry IV NAMOUR, Alix and Beatrice. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Henry I & DE Namur and Elizabeth.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
