Adelheid was born in 0972. Adelheid's father was Charles I DE LORRAINE and her mother was Adelaide. Her paternal grandparents were King Louis IV Of France and Gerberge DE SAXE. She was an only child.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
