Ermengarde DE NAMUR 
Ermengarde was born in 1006. Ermengarde's father was Count Albert I OF NAMUR and her mother was Adelheid DE FRANCE. Her paternal grandparents were Count Robert I OF NAMUR and Ermengarde OF LORRAINE; her maternal grandparents were Charles I DE LORRAINE and Adelaide. She had a brother and a sister, named Albert II and Edwige. She was the second oldest of the three children.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
