Count Albert II OF NAMUR 
Albert II was born in 1000. Albert II's father was Count Albert I OF NAMUR and his mother was Adelheid DE FRANCE. His paternal grandparents were Count Robert I OF NAMUR and Ermengarde OF LORRAINE; his maternal grandparents were Charles I DE LORRAINE and Adelaide. He had two sisters named Ermengarde and Edwige. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 63 in 1063.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
They had a son named Albert III.
