Count/ Albert III OF NAMUR 
Albert III was born in 1030. Albert III's father was Count Albert II OF NAMUR and his mother was Regilinde OF LORRIANE. His paternal grandparents were Count Albert I OF NAMUR and Adelheid DE FRANCE; his maternal grandparents were Godfrey DE VERDUN and Mathilde Billung VON SACHSEN. He was an only child. He died at the age of 72 in 1102.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
