Ermensinde OF LUXEMBOURG 
Ermensinde was born in 1080 in Rhineland, Germany. Ermensinde's father was Count Konrad I OF LUXEMBOURG and her mother was Clemintina DE POITOU. Her maternal grandfather was Duke/Count Peter-William V OF AQUITAINE. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Henry, Jutta and Yolanda. She died at the age of 69 in 1149.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
