Otto II was born in 0940. Otto II's father was Otto I OF TULLFELD. His paternal grandfather was Poppo III OF GRABFELD. He was an only child. Otto II is no longer alive.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
He had a biological daughter named Gerberge.
