General Notes
In 1796 Richard was born in Westhoughton, son of Jane but no father named, although likely to be the son of Robert.
Richard married Elizabeth Buckley in 1824 and acquired a daughter Martha Yetes (b.1808).
In 1841, Richard, a Beer Seller, and Elizabeth (50 & 44) were at How Bridge, Atherton with Ellen and Martha Buckley (40 & 33) and Edward (16), James (14), John (12), Richard (10), Ann (7) and Elizabeth (4).
In 1851, Richard (57) was an Inn Keeper and farmer of 5 acres at Howe Bridge, Atherton with his wife Elizabeth (62) and her sister Ellen Buckley (unmarried, 50). They also had their children Martha Yates (43), Edward (25), James (23), John (21) and Ann (15).
Richard had died by 1861.
