Catherine Mather

Catherine was born in 1788 in Westhoughton and her baptism took place on June 4th, 1788 at St. Bartholomew (Westhoughton).¹

Birth Notes

Catherine's father was Robert Mather and her mother was Jane (Jenny) Sale. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Mary Mather. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Lambert, John, Richard, Mary and Betty. She was the third oldest of the seven children.
