Robert's mother was Mary, and his father was Thomas, who died March 1765 at "Penington" Leigh, just before Robert was born.
Robert & Jinney (or Jenny) could sign their names and were married by licence, so both were well educated.
Robert may have died about 1795. There is no death record for Westhoughton or Deane. However, Jane registered the birth of Richard in 1796, and the father was not named, (so may be deceased).
