Nathan Mather

Nathan's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Amy (Amey or Emy) Worsley.  His paternal grandparents were Edward (Nedde) Mather and Mary Hough. He had four brothers and four sisters, named George, James, Isaac, Thomas, Esther, Peggy, Lucy and Ellen.  He was the third youngest of the nine children. He had four half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John, Edward, Thomas, William, Mary, Alice, Ellen and Catherine.  He died at the age of 34 in May 1869 in Adlington.  He was buried on May 16th, 1869 in Adlington.³
