Alices's baptism reveals Alice is the second daughter of Edward Mather and Mary, daughter of William Hope (but should be Hough as per marriage).
Mary and Nedde were married in a religious ceremony on October 31st, 1780 at St. Wilfred (Standish) witnessed by Richard Charnock & John Smith.2 They had three sons and seven daughters, named Thomas, Nathan, John, Alice, Mary, Margaret, John, Agnes, Betty and Nancy. Nathan and John were twins.
