Martha Mather

Martha was born in June 1841 in Sharples and her baptism took place there on June 13th, 1841.¹

Martha's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Elizabeth Roper. Her paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and Hannah Knowles. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, William, Hannah, Alice, Mary and Ellen. She had an adopted brother and an adopted sister, named Robert and Ann. She had three half-sisters named Elizabeth, Elizabeth and Sarah. She died at the age of 90 in January 1932 in Little Bolton.²
