In 1841, Ann (10) and Robert Mather (7) were children of Richard and Elizabeth, living with them at Club Houses, Sharples. They may not have been Richard's although he did marry a much older Elizabeth.
In 1851, Robert (17) was described as a stepson of Richard and Jane at Sharples.
NOTE: Another Robert "Matther" (same age and son of Richard) of Halliwell, born Withnell, married Sarah Smith, witness Miles Matther. This Robert was on the 1841 census with parents Robert and Ann.
