In 1825, Betty Mather was a marriage witness for here sister Hannah Mather
17 Apr 1838, Betty (recorded as Elizabeth Mather of Unsworth) is believed to have married Thomas Barlow (the only marriage).
In 1841, Thomas and Betty Barlow (35 & 38) were at Holcombe with Thomas Mather (9), assumed to be Betty's illegitimate son (or nephew).
Betty died in 1844, soon after giving birth to John, who also died. The children then went to her sister Alice.
