Birth Notes

James' father was Thomas Barlow and his mother was Betty (Elizabeth) Mather. His maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Ann Entwistle. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Robert, John, Jane and Ann. He was the third youngest of the six children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Maria.
