Ann was born in June 1842 in Holcombe.¹

Birth Notes

Ann's father was Thomas Barlow and her mother was Betty (Elizabeth) Mather. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Ann Entwistle. She had four brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Robert, James, John and Jane. She was the second youngest of the six children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Maria.
