Florence, known as Flo, was born on September 13th, 1905 in Tranmere.1  Flo's father was Ephraim (Eph) Hopwood and her mother was Ann (Nell) Ellen Mather.  Her paternal grandparents were John Hopwood and Mary Howell; her maternal grandparents were Joseph (Joe) Mather and Ellen Tomlinson. She had a sister named Boodie.  She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother named Willie.  She died at the age of 96 on January 14th, 2002 in Clatterbridge Hospital.  The funeral took place on January 14th, 2002 in Bebington.  She was buried on January 14th, 2002 at the Bebington Cemetery.2 3 2

‌Flo and Alec were married in a religious ceremony in June 1934 in Birkenhead.6  They had a daughter named Kath.  There are no more children.
