The George Brereton (21) who Married Florence Harrison in 1908, was the son of Edwin, so of another family. Another George Brereton married Ellen Bradley Allard (not Mary Ann Cartwright) in Northwich/Sandbatch in 1908 (father unknown). Our George was still single in 1911.
In 1939, George and Priscilla and 3 children (latest one obscured on the 1939 register) were at 19 Brereton Avenue, Bebington. George was a master builder.
George ran the family building businesses "George Brereton and Sons". His son Jack was the architect, other son George a joiner and daughter Beryl the office secretary. His wife Priscilla did the accounts. The business model was to but small plots of land (some bomb damage) and build affordable homes,

John and Eliza, together with their younger children George, William and May were living at the White Lion, Childer Thornton, Hooton in 1911. Also present was Elsie Woof (servant, aged 15).
