Eliza, known as Lizzie, was born in June 1855 in Birkenhead.¹

Lizzie's father was George Batho and her mother was Elizabeth Kirkham. Her paternal grandparents were George Batho and Martha Cartwright. She had a brother and two sisters, named George, Mary and Martha. She was the third oldest of the four children. She died at the age of 80 on October 10th, 1935 in Birkenhead.²

- Eliza was alive in 1913, and husband John left her everything, and must have still been alive when her mother-in-law Esther wrote her will in 1917, leaving her one quater of the residual estate.
