74
In 1871 married to Ellen Jones with a 1 year old son Owen. In 1881 census he is a slate quarry manager with 4 children, not including Owen.
Wikipaedia entry on the Cwt y Bugail quarry has the following:
Around 1877 the quarry was taken over by Owen Williams from the nearby village of Penmachno. He ran Cwt y Bugail for the next thirty years and was the great-grandfather of Owen Glyn Williams who managed the quarry in the 1980s.
Production of slate peaked in 1877 and began dwindling significantly from 1884 onwards. By 1887 the quarry was closed, but Owen Williams formed a worker's cooperative and began working the quarry in 1888. The cooperative purchased the quarry from the Bugail Slate Quarry Co. for a nominal fee in 1892 Modest production with 60 men employed continued until 1898 when another gradual decline set in. In 1908 a rock fall in the quarry caused the company to fall into debt and it went into receivership in 1899. The receiver sold the quarry to Cadwalader Owen Roberts of Betwys y Coed for a nominal sum.

I believe Elizabeth Hewitt b in 1840 in Filey was the same person as Elizabeth Cammish recorded in the 1851 census as b in 1840 in Filey because this would establish the link with the William Cammish gravestone in Filey (Told to Simon and my parents by Aunt Mabel). From Brian Hewitt - Genes Reunited:
Death cert obtained 'aged 75' occ. Labourer, 'Decay of Nature', signed John Wilkinson, master of the Workhouse. Bastardy order against Edward Hewitt of Woodmansey re. Ann Cooper (daughter born 13/5/1793! (Beverley St Mary Parish records) Record of Marriage in E. Yorks Marriage Index ( Mrs P. Pattinson) 1841 census says aged 70 +/- was an Ag. Labourer according to 1841 census and Mary's later widow status. Appeared himself to be a widower, in 1841, remarried to Mary Wallis from Lincs. A William Hewitt was christened at Hedon, 4m E of Hull, 22.4.1767 but was son of a William. Also a Thomas, Joseph, a Mary etc. but no wife named. May have died March qur 1844 f23 p4 as by 1851 census Mary is a widow aged 52. Age does not tally but may be a guess by the Workhouse.
