1841 census gives age as 60 and birth place as Eccles in England, presumably the Berwickshire Eccles. Could be a different Thomas Ormiston, but his wife is Isabella and there is a daughter, Isabella and a "daughter" Janet. Residence, though is Lochton

In 1851 Scotland census living in Roxburgh St, Kelso with wife, daughter Isabella (aged 44) and Janet Ormiston (aged 16), described as daughter, but more likely granddaughter.
