1861 census has a James Bird born in Cromer, aged forty something. See sources for entry. He was married to a Mary Ann Bird aged 35. The BMD index has a death entry for a Mary Ann Bird in Scarborough in 1870 Q3 aged 45 (Scarborough 9d 235). The FreeBMD Marriage index for 1845 Q1 has a marriage for a James Bird of Scarborough with a Mary Ann Jackson on the same page (Scarboro, vol 24 pg 510).
