Robert was born on June 13th, 1836.  Robert's father was Robert Ormiston and his mother was Elspeth Wilson.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Ormiston and Isabella Sanderson; his maternal grandparents were Robert Wilson and Helen Ballantyne. He had a brother named John.  He died at the age of 62 on March 14th, 1899 in Wem.1
