There are 5 other later burials after 1938 (inc Ernest and Mary Sherwan) Who is Annie Elizabeth Brereton (1772-1978), The Avenue, also burie at Tattenhall Rosa Brereton of Harthill, Buried at Harthill Lives with: Clara remained single and lived with her mother, Mary Ann till she died in 1921.  Clara died 25 years later.  They are buried in the same grave. Dec 16 1863, John Brereton (27, farmer) married Mary Ann Lea (32, Spinster) at St John's Chester.

In 1871, John and Mary Ann (34 & 39) were farmers of 80 Acres at Manor House Farm, Harthill.  They had Clara (4), Rosa (2) and two servants

In 1881, John and Mary (44 & 49) are at 133 Acre Dragon Farm, Chowley with Emily, Clara and Rosa (16, 14, 11) and three servants.

In 1831, John was a butcher.  Later, John was a farmer of 124 acres, and an employer of 2 labourers.  He lived with his wife's parents throughout his married life.

In 1841, John and Elizabeth (both 35) were with Elizabeth's parents William and Ann Boote.  Their three surviving children John, Thos and William (5, 2 and 1mo) were also with them.

According to their headstone (and John's will), John and Elizabeth lived at Bolesworth Hill, Broxton (as tenant farmers).  John must have been very sucessful, leaving an estate valued at under £1,500 (in 1870).

Elizabeth continued to live with her parents, even after she was married.  John Brereton and Wilian Boot were both farmers, probably farming the same farm.

Elizabeth was a widower when she married in 1829.
1838 - 1915 Thomas Brereton 76 76 In 1841, Parents John and Elizabeth (both 35) were with Elizabeth's parents William and Ann Boote.  Their three surviving children John, Thos and William (5, 2 and 1mo) were also with them.

Unmarried, aged 32 in 1871.
Possibly had a daughter, Emily (born 1865).

In 1878, Thomas married Martha, 14 years his junior.

In 1894, was occupier of Kings Marsh, subject to trespass and poaching by Robert Challinor (see news clip)

In 1901, Thomas and Martha (62 & 48) were living at Rowley Hill, Farndon, farmers, with Harry (22), Ethel (18) and Eleanor (10), sister Annie (51) and 4 servants.

In 1915, Thomas died at Thomas died at Foulk Stapleford, aged 67.
1841 - 1848 William Brereton 6 6 Not with family in 1861, so did he die young, or had he married and left home by then. 1844 - 1906 Elizabeth Brereton 61 61 Unmarried and with mother Elizabeth (after John's death) in 1871, aged 25

02 May 1877, Pilliam Pym, son of William Pym married Elizabeth Brereton, daughter of John Brereton at Harthill.

They had no children.
