In 1939, Desmond (DOB 13-Mar-1920) was living with his mother Dorothy (DOB 14 Nov 1896), a PO Clerk and widow, and Annie Hayward (a widow and housewife born 1866) so possibly his grandmother in Bristol, Gloucestershire.
Des and Edna were married in a religious ceremony in July 1945 in Bristol.2 They had a son and a daughter, named Michael and Susanne. There are no more children.
