Richard, known as Richie, was born on November 9th, 1918 in Tranmere.1  Richie's father was Thomas (Tom) Gladstone Turner and his mother was Ellen (Jenny) Jane Brereton.  His paternal grandparents were John Turner and Alice Martha Pritchard; his maternal grandparents were Richard Brereton and Lydia Timmis.  He was an only child.  He died due to a medical problem, Asthema, at the age of 35 in March 1954 in the Wirral.2
