Thomas Mather

Thomas was born on July 27th, 1786 in Blackrod and his baptism took place on August 20th, 1786 at St. Katherine (B'rod).¹²

Thomas' father was John Mather and his mother was Ann Entwistle. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mather and Betty Bromiley. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Nathan, John, George, James, Isaac, Mary, Betty and Alice. He was the second oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 46 on April 17th, 1833 in Blackrod. His burial was on April 17th, 1833 at St. Katherine (B'rod).³³
