John Mather

- John (abode Turton) was baptised at Horwich Independant. He seems to be the only child of Thomas and Betty (Flitcroft?), although Peter, son of Peter (a possible nephew) was also baptised there 10-Nov-1783.
  
  John was a farmer, married at Standish. After John and Ann were married they lived at Heath Charnock (1785 when Mary baptised). Later baptisms show their abode as Blackrod and John a farmer.
