Henry Mather

Henry was born in 1812 in Blackrod and his baptism took place on August 30th, 1812 at St. Katherine (B'rod).¹

Henry's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Hannah (Ann) Holt. His paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Entwistle. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, Alice and Hannah. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 29 in April 1841 in Blackrod. His burial was on May 1st, 1841 in Blackrod.²

General Notes
- Henry is the "second son of Thomas"
  
  In 1828 Henry Mather, labourer, late of G.B. was convicted of fellony and transported for 14 years. Probably another Henry, as this Henry married in 1835 and had 2 or 3 children 2y before the 14 years were done.
  
  In April 1841, Henry died, aged only 29. His wife Jane was living at New Road, Aspull in June, so this was probably his final home.
