Jane Mather

Jane was born in August 1837 in Edgworth.¹

Jane's father was Joseph Mather and her mother was Betty (Elizabeth) Cooper. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Andrew, John, Joseph, James, Elizabeth, Sophia, Frances, Alice and Sarah. She was the seventh oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 66 in July 1904 in Bolton.

General Notes
- In 1861, Jane was still at home, unmarried, aged 24.
  
  In April 1871, John and Jane were still unmarried together at Bromley Cross, Turton. John (31) was an Inn Keeper and sister Jane (33) a house keeper. February, the following Jane was living at Old Trafford when she married a much older Daniel Constantine by Licence.
  
  In 1881 Daniel and Jane (66 & 44) were at Breightmet with daugher Martha (30), James (27) and Mary (25)
