Alice Mather

Alice was born on January 24th, 1835 in Edgworth and her christening took place on March 29th, 1835 at Edgworth Independent.¹²

Alice's father was Joseph Mather and her mother was Betty (Elizabeth) Cooper. Her paternal grandparents were Isaac Mather and Alice Fielding. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Charles, Andrew, John, Joseph, James, Elizabeth, Sophia, Frances, Jane and Sarah. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 78 on November 16th, 1913 in Manchester.³
